How this works
Counting word frequency on a job ad returns "experience", "team" and "years". So instead of counting everything, the posting is matched against a vocabulary of skills taken from resumes people have already run through ResumeHeatMap. A phrase only counts as a keyword if real candidates list it as a skill.
That same corpus is where the percentage comes from, and it is the part other keyword tools cannot show you: not just "add Python", but "Python is already on one in ten resumes". We wrote up what else the corpus says in resume statistics.
What we do with your posting: nothing. It is matched in memory and returned on this page. It is not saved, not sent anywhere, and there is no account to create.
One limit worth knowing: the vocabulary is built from skills that appear on resumes, so a genuinely novel tool that nobody has listed yet will not be matched. Read the list as a floor, not a ceiling.
